Авторы ставят под сомнение допущение, согласно которому конфликты по поводу легитимной версии прошлого были обусловлены “бунтом меньшинств” (чернокожих в случае США, потомков мигрантов неевропейского происхождения в случае Великобритании и Франции). В статье демонстрируется, что запрос на пересмотр господствующего нарратива относительно национального прошлого был сформулирован и артикулирован внутри гражданского общества и, соответственно, не сводится к притязаниям меньшинств. Авторы опираются на агонистический подход к коллективной памяти, в рамках которого последняя понимается как результат определенных конвенций, складывающихся в ходе постоянно возобновляемых в обществе дебатов о собственном прошлом. Изложение сфокусировано на анализе публичных дискуссий вокруг содержания школьного образования, набора официальных праздников и памятных дат, облика городских пространств и концепции музеев в трех названных странах. В итоге сформулированы следующие выводы. Водораздел в коммеморативных конфликтах пролегает не по линии этнического происхождения, а по линии мировоззрения. За противостоянием различных версий исторической памяти в конечном счете стоит столкновение различных “моделей” нации (более инклюзивной и менее инклюзивной), а сам призыв к пересмотру доминирующего нарратива упирается в вопрос о включении в нацию прежде исключенных групп.Ключевые словаисторическая память, культурная политика, политика памяти, мемориальные конфликты, миграция, США, Западная ЕвропаЛитератураБек У. 2007.
