Аннотация

Crisis phenomena (COVID-19 and the military conflict in Eastern Europe in 2022) have transformed and reshaped in new ways the role of non-urban territories, previously in a state of deep economic depression. Ecologically clean and sparsely populated areas have become attractive to city dwellers as places of safety and mental recuperation. In recent years, the flow of centrifugal migration has increased. Working remotely online allows migrants to keep their profession and income. The paper highlights the theoretical aspects of centrifugal migration and the future of megacities (“life beyond the city”) and analyzes data from applied sociological research
