Maria N. Mukhanova. The Employment Structure of Rural Youth in Russia

Аннотация

This article analyses the structure of employment for rural youth i the Russian countryside using the findings of  Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey of the population's economic condition and health (RLMS-HSE) conducted between 1994 and 2013 and of the Integrated Survey of the Living Conditions of the Population carried out in all 86 Russian regions in 2011 (15 to 30 year-olds). This investigation has chown that in spite of the rise in the educational level the share of unemployed and occupied in informal sector of the economy is great in the rural youth employment structure, which leads to the growth of poverty and migration.

В статье на основе данных Российского мониторинга экономического положения и здоровья населения (RLMS-HSE) 1994-2013 гг. и обследования Росстата за 2011 г. условий жизни населения всех 86 российских регионов анализируется структура занятости сельской молодежи  15-30 лет. В ходе исследования выяснилось, что несмотря на рост образовательного уровня в структуре занятости сельской молодежи велика доля безработных и работающих в неформальном секторе, что обуславливает распространения бедности и рост миграции среди них.
